S/switch Discussion Group - November

Come join our Programming Team Co-Lead, Elissa, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the third Tuesday of the month. Doors open at 6:50pm and no one will be admitted after 7:10 pm. If the discussion is lively, the group has the option to keep on going until 9:00 pm. Registration is below and the video link will be emailed to those registered. Please take a moment to review our event agreements.

The purpose of this group is to provide a safe space for switches to discuss all sides of themselves, how those roles affect their experiences of sex and BDSM, to build community, and to help share information amongst each other. We’ll start the first session by giving everyone who wants a few moments to introduce themselves, and to solicit topics for later sessions, and perhaps vote on one to discuss then. I don’t feel that there is any one way to be a switch, and my experiences are not universal. That’s why I want to get an idea of what the community needs and wants so I don’t prioritize my experiences over those of others.

As we move forward, the plan is to again take some time to introduce or check in, but less time than for the first meeting. Then we’ll vote each time on a topic or two out of the ones we already have, for the evening’s discussion. When we are running low on topics, we can solicit more again.

Whether you are experienced or just starting out, please bring your questions and the expertise created by your experience. Drop in for one meeting or become a regular. We look forward to sharing space with you.

Facilitator Bio: Elissa (she/her)

Elissa has been a part of the CSPC community for 5 years, and became a volunteer in March 2016. Primarily she’s served as a dedicated setup volunteer and a member of the Programming Team since its inception, and now serves as the team’s co-lead. She has served as an ambassador and library assistant at the old CSPC space, as well as being a frequent volunteer at the Diadem Femdom events at The Streamhouse, and on the Logistics Team for Sakura-Con. She has spent time on both sides of the slash in relationships and pickup play and has learned a great deal through her time in the community due to her curiosity, willingness to try anything once, and inquisitiveness. Elissa excels at connecting with people and helping them find what gives them joy and fulfillment.

Watch this space for more information about how to join. Have questions? Email Turtle or Elissa with the Programming Team at programming@thecspc.org for more information. Hope to see you there!
