Come join our Board Member, Kelly, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 29. Please arrive promptly. The virtual doors will close at 10 minutes past the scheduled start time. If you will need to arrive late, contact us in advance at info@thecspc.org. Depending on the circumstances we might be able to accommodate you.
If the discussion is lively, the group has the option to keep on going until 9:00 pm. Registration is below and the video link will be emailed to those registered and posted here before the group begins. Please take a moment to review our event agreements.
The CSPC’s Power Dynamics Discussion Group allows participants to learn about authority transfer relationships in more general terms through discussion in a safe, judgement-free environment.
Authority transfer relationships are also referred to as power exchange or the umbrella term Dominance and submission (the DS in BDSM). In these relationships, one person generally offers authority over themselves to another in a multitude of ways for a specified period ranging from minutes, hours, or a lifetime.
We will explore the factors relating to a wide variety of relationships, such as the following:
Top/bottom
Dominant/submissive
Master/slave
Owner/property
Daddy/boy or girl
Mommy/boy or girl
Handler/pet
Whether you are experienced or just starting out, please bring your questions and the expertise created by your experience. Drop in for one meeting or become a regular. We look forward to sharing space with you.
Facilitator Bio: Kelly (she/her)
Kelly has been a part of a kink community since 2000, migrating slowly from Southern California to the Bay Area and Southern Oregon before settling in Seattle in 2011. Having occupied both sides of the slash in a multitude of power authority relationships, she comes with a lot of expertise on herself and a few opinions about just about everything.
As both an educator on communication and interpersonal & intrapersonal relationships and a Board Member for the Center for Sex Positive Culture (CSPC), Kelly excels at meeting people where they are and helping them get to where they want to be.
Watch this space for more information about how to join. Have questions? Email Turtle or Elissa with the Programming Team at programming@thecspc.org for more information. Hope to see you there!
