Juneteenth, a celebration of Black liberation and resilience, is fundamentally about affirming the humanity, freedom, and joy of Black people. Join two of our CSPC Board Members, Gloria and Mina, as they host a social Juneteenth event within our community; creating a space that honors Black history and culture—a vital aspect of true diversity and inclusion.

Recognizing that race, gender, and sexuality are interconnected, this event reflects an understanding that liberation must be intersectional. Celebrating Juneteenth in our community context encourages dialogue and visibility for Black queer, trans, and non-binary people whose stories are often erased.

We are here to affirm the humanity, freedom, and joy of Black people while creating intentional space in a supportive community. Sexuality and sensuality cannot be fully explored or expressed without the freedom to exist fully as oneself.

This masking required social event is our commitment to health and safety, especially for immunocompromised, vulnerable members and their guests. This care for the collective is a form of sensual ethics-—prioritizing well-being as part of a nurturing and respectful communal experience.
