Discord Update: Age-Restricted Servers & iOS

By Flowers

Hi everyone! We here at the CSPC love to see an active community flourishing and interacting. This is why we are so thankful for our wonderful community on Discord. But as our Discord community continues to grow, we have hit a small pothole. According to the rules on Discord:

“For people age 18 and older, age-restricted servers can only be joined on desktop or Android devices. Those with iOS devices are required to ‘opt-in on desktop’ in order to view age-restricted servers from their iOS device.”

So, if you are in the Discord on iOS (any Apple products) and want to be able to access the group, follow these easy steps:

You have to go on the desktop Discord site and go to User Settings > Privacy & Safety and toggle on the “Allow access to age-restricted servers on iOS” to enable it. Then you should be all set!

For all of you who aren’t part of the CSPC’s vibrant members-only Discord community yet, you can join at this link. Your active member number will be verified before full access is granted.

Can’t wait to see you there!

May I?: Sense and Sensuality

Do you want to explore allowing others into your personal space? Are you interested in sharing energy with another person? Have you ever wanted to experience emotional or physical intimacy without the pressure of romance or sex? Are you demisexual and a bond is needed before sexual activity is even possible? Do you enjoy the softer side of kink? Then this is the event that you’ve been looking for!

Sense & Sensuality provides a relaxed, social & non-escalatory environment for people to make connections that could grow into something more with prompts to help members initiate connections and gentle play.

For the first half of the event, the full venue is “Lights On” for platonic intimacy with no nudity. During this time, on the main level we'll host an interactive prompt and on the lower level you are encouraged to engage in any platonic play.

May Intimacy Prompt: Non-Escalatory Cuddles!

Platonic touch-based intimacy is an underserved need for many folx and the CSPC wants to facilitate a sexually non-escalatory environment for our community. We’ll have a short Cuddle workshop following the SaS Confab that will feature 3 cuddle positions from the book “The Cuddle Sutra” by Rob Grader. Then the rest of the evening is opened for your cuddling pleasure! Cuddle one-on-one or with a cuddle puddle!

Please note that the noise volume of music and conversation is expected to be low during our cuddle focused events so as to create a calm and meditative environment.

For the second half of the event at 9:00 p.m., the main level is open to any platonic play while the lower level of the venue transitions into “Lights Off” for sensual and sexual intimacy. This is the only part of the event that permits light-impact play.

Let’s get cuddle-wonderful!Tickets are available here. Not yet a member of the CSPC? New member tickets are available here! New member tickets include new member orientation during the hour immediately preceding the party (6:00-7:00 p.m.), your first month’s membership fee, and entry to the party.

Myself! Turns Sweet 16

On May 21, Myself! is turning 16! Cum help us celebrate getting off together like the horny 16-year-old party we are! We’d love to see old friends and new. Cupcakes too! Any sort of dress up clothes and accessories are encouraged. Will you play dress up with us?

  • Open mic for Myself! stories and dreams!

  • Party games!

  • Spanking gauntlet!

  • Sign our journal!

YOU are what makes Myself! what it is!  The regular event will continue downstairs during the festivities--birthday stuff will happen 7:00-8:00 p.m. upstairs. Circle at 6:30 p.m. is required for folx new to the Myself! Party.

A word from Myself!’s hosts:

Celia:

I’m always thrilled to see folks that have been coming since the days of the bed with silks in the Raw Space and folks who seemed way too young back then. I love Myself! because I am dedicated to and inspired by the notion that we can create a space where many people fulfill their separate fantasies together. I love seeing the wide eyes when someone has never seen sex in person before. Seeing sex, in all of its forms, helps us realize that we are all human, that bodies are funny, and that we have more things in common than our differences. I hope you will come and help us celebrate.

Mark:

It’s hard to believe that our unique gathering is celebrating 16 years of bringing people together.  Just as if it were a person, Myself! has matured and grown from how it began. We have learned more about being responsible to ourselves and the people around us. We have worked to be more open and accepting of others who may not be like us, but who have every right to exist and express themselves in a myriad of ways. Across all of these years, all of these people have come together to share a space that celebrates them getting off either with others or solo. That solo play is what has really made this party stand out from all others, not just at the CSPC but in the region.

Join us for the celebration! Tickets are available here. Not yet a member of the CSPC? New member tickets are available here! New member tickets include new member orientation during the hour immediately preceding the party (5:30-6:30 p.m.), your first month’s membership fee, and entry to the party.

Community Matters: Show Your PRIDE!

Frolic Friendship Poem

If you go chasing rabbits and

you know you are going to fall

Lean on me, when you aren’t strong

Do you need anybody? I need somebody to love.

Come with me into the trees

We’ll lay on the grass and let the hours pass

You want a revelation, some kind of resolution

You want a revelation

When the lights go out, and you throw yourself about

In the darkness where you learn to see

When the lights go out, don’t you ever doubt

The light that we can really be

A true true friend helps a friend in need

Go forth and have no fear

Come close and lend an ear

I can’t help myself, no no, caught up in the middle of it

We can be who we are

You taught me something, yeah, freedom is ours

Let it be unity, let it be community

For refugees like you and me

Sing with me, sing for the year

Sing or the laughter, sing for the tears

Sing with me, if it’s just for today

Because The Frolic is still three months away!

My First Frolic

By Tristan

The first few months of my exploration into kink and sex-positive communities were transformative. I grew as I found new experiences and built new relationships and began to build confidence in who I was and recognize my value. But this whirlwind of growth gave me just a taste of what I experienced at Frolic in 2022.

The immersive experience that kinky camping provided me felt like nothing I had ever been through before but was completely comfortable at the same time.

I was able to freely be myself and express that freedom every waking moment until I decided to sleep each night. Being around others going through the same immersion just built on the energy of the moment. We were all “at camp,” and that mindset was spirited and connecting.

There were so many experiences of nudity, sex, kink, learning, voyeurism, exhibitionism, joy, camaraderie, and community across my time at Kinky Acres but I will highlight my firsts:

  • My first needle tasting

  • My first strip UNO game

  • My first skinny dipping in the inflatable pool

  • My first classes about kink

  • My first time having sex in a tent

Underlying these experiences were relationships. I was able to forge meaningful connections with like-minded people. This was so important to me feeling comfortable being at Frolic and the root of that comes from this simple fact:

Spending time living with my people is the most natural expression of my identity I can experience.

I'm so excited for Frolic this year and I can't wait to experience that feeling again.

Editor's Note:

Tristan will be leading the Finding Your Way Discussion Group on Wednesday Aug 16 at 1 p.m. during The Frolic 2023.

First Frolic Presenters Are Here!

Introducing our first two presenters for The Frolic 2023!

DJ presenting: A Masochist's Guide to Healing Marks

DJ (she/they) is a white, queer, femme, genderfluid, polyamorous, and disabled survivor who lives in Seattle. As a service-oriented bottom, they identify as a little, masochist, experimentalist, and edge player who has been playing with pain, fear, and power for 13 years. From impact, to rope, to rough body play, to all things sharp and pointy, they like to connect with play partners who are both tender and sadistic while exploring the limits of their pain tolerance. With a broad risk profile and a willingness to try most things at least three times (for science!), they often approach play in a fun, curious, and connective way. Outside of the community, they have five years of experience designing, facilitating, and teaching workshops and classes.

Evelyn Evey presenting: 1) Kinky Psych 101, 2) Hard to Swallow? - Willing Suspension of Disbelief, 3) Rape Play From the Bottom’s Perspective, 4) Avoiding Accidental Consent Injury, 5) Play Harder and Longer!

Evelyn Evey (she/they) is a happily kinky, switchy, sadomasochistic, polyamorous, queer, gender nonconforming experience junkie who lives in Seattle, Washington where she is actively involved with the Center for Sex Positive Culture (formerly served on the Board) and the local BDSM community. She was vice president of the board of directors for the Pan Eros Foundation (formerly known as the Foundation for Sex Positive Culture) and has had various roles with the Seattle Erotic Art Festival. A voracious learner, she has studied Ayurveda, psychology, and acting, all of which have provided her insight and tools for helping others on their own journeys toward finding balance and having fun with their kink.
