Other Community Events to Enjoy!

The CSPC throws amazing parties and hosts many important discussions on various topics. But luckily, we live in a place where there are many more options to dive into sex- and body-positive culture. The list below is just a sampling of some great events coming up in the next month.

We include non-CSPC events in every issue. If you have an event suggestion or feedback from a past event you’ve attended, please email Marissa at newsletter@thecspc.org and it might make it into our next issue!

Pan Eros | Archimeanies: body manipulation for rope ($105+ | in person)

Body manipulation makes rope scenes hotter and technical ties easier. This class will teach principles and over twenty specific techniques centered around leverage and joint locking to move a partner effortlessly and create headspace. We will learn methods with and without rope to guide a partner, introduce tension to the body, and use these ideas for play.

Papaya Project | Sex Trivia ($10–$20 | in person)

This monthly event is the best way to learn about and celebrate pleasure, queerness, and the science of sex! We kick off the evening with a brief introduction, then dive right into sex trivia. All identities and backgrounds are welcome. Trivia questions cover a wide variety of sex and sexuality-related topics, so get ready to challenge yourself, learn something new, and have a good time. There will be PRIZES for the winning teams! This month, we’re fundraising for Dykes on Bikes, Seattle's chartered lesbian motorcycle club.

Asylum Collective | Sculpt and Sip ($45 | in person)

Step into the Seattle Underground, home of Asylum Collective, for an evening of twisted creativity. This isn’t your mom’s wine & art night! In this guided class, you'll have access to wine and/or N/A options and everything else needed to create a sculpture you can take home. The gallery comes alive with nude art models, setting the stage for your masterpieces and offering an opportunity to work with a live figure. We'll provide clay, sculpting tools, and more. Make sure to dress to get messy. 21+ / RSVP Required / Limited Seats.

Acrobatic Conundrum | The Circus of Second Chances ($5–$100 | in person or virtual)

On a relentless quest for wonder, three veteran acrobats let their imaginations run wild to fulfill secret longings. Fluent in the language of circus, Acrobatic Conundrum’s principal performers melt the fourth wall and reveal their flaws and journeys to redemption. The audience plays a vital part in The Circus of Second Chances, in which ropes are dancescapes, trapezes are windows to the soul, and spinning hoops are portals to infinite possibility. Featuring rope acrobatics, Cyr wheel, hand balancing, live baking, and clown!

June 6
Phinney Neighborhood Association | PhinneyWood Pride Rainbow Hop (free | in person)

This Pride and LGBTQIA+ event celebrates finding oneself, encourages inclusivity and diversity in our community, and seeks to help individuals feel authentically seen, heard, and valued. We invite you to be a part of this gay, family-friendly, and multi-generational celebration! The day will start out with a free anti-bullying play at the Taproot Theatre, an all-age appropriate production. Families will then travel the Rainbow Hop route between 87th and 67th on Greenwood Avenue and take part in dozens of Pride-centric activities and crafts.
