Hello CSPC Members,
As some of you may have seen already, we are beginning to roll out a new digital registration check in process at the welcome desk. This significantly reduces volunteer time and will improve the efficiency and accuracy of check in. Here's what you need to know:
Digital ID Scanner–we have a digital ID scanner! This tool is not connected to the internet and no data is stored on the device. We are also in the process of removing ID data from our database. Overall, this means less personal data is being collected and our registration volunteers will be able to move faster and more accurately.
Guests–there isn't a clear place to indicate if a guest has completed their waiver in our new digital attendance marking page. To address this, we have added a link for the digital guest waiver to event confirmation emails–please send it to your guests in advance! At the desk, please state that you have a guest and have them confirm they completed their waiver (it will be printed on the desk for reference). If they did not, they can use the QR code to complete it on their own device or on our tablet. We are moving away from paper forms.
Account information–to make marking attendance easier with our new ID scanner, we are explicitly requiring all members to use their legal last name (matching your ID) on their membership and registrations. Most members have already done this but if your last name does not match, please log in to your account and update your profile.
Ticket trades–you can now trade tickets up until the party! Our new attendance marking page live updates. This will also make it easier for folks who buy tickets last minute!
Reduced data collection–in addition to no longer collecting ID data, we are also no longer collecting physical addresses! This data has already been removed from our database and forms. As we complete the roll out, you might notice some small changes to event registration forms and the website to reflect our new system!
New Member processing and registration issues–with less registration work to do, our operations team will be able to process New Memberships within 24-48 hours, and will begin assisting with coupons and registration issue emails, reducing turn around time!
We hope these updates make registering and attending parties easier, as well as improving the workload for our volunteers. If you have questions or see something in the new system that we may have missed, please let us know on our feedback form.
Thank you for being a part of our community!
