Consent Academy: Consent and Leadership Summer Series ($300+ | online)

Consent and Leadership is a unique opportunity for leaders to deepen their understanding of consent, power, trauma, and accountability. It consists of 8 workshops and one optional lab, each exploring the knowledge, skills, and practices anyone who finds themselves in a position of influence or authority needs in order to foster a consensual space.

July 19

Beacon Cinema - Ask Any Buddy ($13 | in person)

ASK ANY BUDDY is a throbbing feature-length fever-dream collage of real desire, cruising, and fucking. The piece uses fragments from 126 theatrical feature films spanning the years 1968-1986 to create a kaleidoscopic day in the life snapshot of urban gay culture in the era — or at least how it looked in the movies.

July 22 (every Monday through August)

Emerald City Trapeze Arts - Beginner Shibari ($25 | in person)

In this foundational session, students will learn fundamental ties and techniques to begin their rope journey. Though fundamental, these techniques can be combined in uncountable ways to produce elaborate shapes and scenarios. Besides learning technical skills, we will focus on rope bondage as a movement and acrobatic art, with emphasis on flow, aesthetics, and partner connection.

Unfortunately, we are fed Puritanical messages that sex involving your butt is dirty, unnatural, and taboo. In this class, Nyx will bust these myths and share tips on how to make anal exploration fulfilling and worthwhile. We will look at toys specifically designed for the task, lubricants, books and more.

Sex Positive World - The Pleasure Talk ($0–$25 | online)

This class builds upon skills learned using these tools, and offers an updated framework created by and for our Sex Positive community. You can use The Pleasure Talk in your own relationships, at our events, and anywhere you find yourself in intimate connections with others.

The Goodenough Community: 2024 Summer Gathering - Consent: The Heart of Relationships and Communities ($690+ | in person)

The Goodenough Summer Gatherings are a rich mix of learning, practice, and skill-building that happen within a container of friendship and good will. For over 55 years, we have developed and refined our method of offering these life-changing experiences to ourselves and the wider world. Expert teaching sessions are enlivened by an atmosphere of play and exploration. These lessons are further explored in small group sessions where participants can feel safe and respectfully held as they learn to manage their inner landscape of feelings in ways that promote greater understanding and well-being.

July 10

Papaya Project: Sex Trivia ($10–$20 | in person)

This monthly event is the best way to learn about and celebrate pleasure, queerness, and the science of sex! Trivia questions cover a wide variety of sex and sexuality-related topics, so get ready to challenge yourself, learn something new, and have a good time. A portion of each ticket will be donated to Camp Ten Trees, a nonprofit residential camp in Washington State for youth of LGBTQ and nontraditional families, LGBTQ youth, and their allies.

July 15 (every Monday through August)

Come be dazzled as more than 60 community- based ensembles parade down the streets of Fremont with giant puppets, stilt walkers, floats, dancers, cyclists, and musicians in this kaleidoscope of joyous human expression.

Acrobatic Conundrum: Circus of Second Chances ($25–$100 | in person)

On a relentless quest for wonder, three veteran acrobats let their imaginations run wild to fulfill secret longings. Fluent in the language of circus, Acrobatic Conundrum’s principal performers melt the fourth wall to reveal their fatal flaws and journeys to redemption. In our homes we are out at sea, on our living room couch we find ourselves on an epic odyssey; so much rests upon the fate of a dozen lemons.

Seattle Pride Parade (free | in person)

Seattle’s 50th annual Pride Month celebration will close out with the annual Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30 in Westlake Park along 4th Avenue. Come see Washington's largest parade and celebrate the 250+ local and national community groups, nonprofits, and companies.

The Beacon declares fidelity to a cinema utopia in which our struggle for collective liberation is bound up with all the unrealized possible futures woven through the forgotten histories of film. Together we explore our dreams so that we might some day possess them in reality.

Pan Eros: Practical Application of Floggers ($45–$85 | in person)

Want to create a great flogging scene? Not sure about the basics? Know the basics inside-and-out but think there might be something more? This experiential flogging workshop is for anybody that thinks they’ve got something to learn. We’ll discuss the foundations, practice basic and non-basic strokes, and cover how to turn it all from a collection of techniques into a scene.

Northwest Film Forum: Terminal USA ($14 | in person)

A candy-colored hellscape that feels like an episode of Strangers with Candy that was filmed by Dario Argento during a three-day acid bender, Jon Moritsugu’s Terminal USA is a crucial piece of 1990s alternative cinema—smart, shocking, and one of the most deranged films to ever be funded by American taxpayers. This is the film Heathers wished it could be.

Consent Academy: Consent, Neurodiversity, & Kink ($20–$40 | online)

A lot of neurodivergent people enjoy kink. Even if you are neurotypical, you probably know many neurodivergent people. This discussion-focused workshop is designed to help folks of all neurotypes better understand and communicate with their neurodivergent partners and play partners.

Sex Positive World: Journey Through Time ($0–$25 | online)

Ancient India, the land of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Tantra, the land that birthed plenty of religions, spiritual quests and philosophical journeys, also generated several LGBTQ+ tales that were deliberately hidden when preaching the New-Age Hinduism.

April 26–29

Seattle Erotic Art Festival ($28–$350 | in person)

The annual weekend-long event that showcases erotic art in diverse media including painting, photography, sculpture, film, literature, and interactive installations. A wide range of performance art is also represented, including burlesque, ballroom dance, circus arts, and live music.

Sex Positive World: Toying with the Unseen: Energy Play w/ Miss Mackenzee ($0–$35 | online)

Within this workshop you’ll learn how energy play can create spiritual and transcendental experiences for yourself and your partner(s).

Once upon a time . . . a curse befell a princess, placing her in a deep and dreamful sleep. This spring . . . Noveltease Theatre journeys into a dreamworld of faeries, witches, beasts, and magic inspired by fairy tales and folklore from around the world in Sleeping Beauty and the Bear Prince, told in our signature literary burlesque format.
